Eary Game access: Inside info you'll want to know

I got early access on the 15th of December, so far there is lots to talk about. The excitement of a new MMO (not to mention a Star Wars one!)... And the frustration of a new title launch.

What you will need to get started:
1.) Make sure your system will run the game, or you'll be running to Bestbuy to upgrade your graphics card! System Requirements Lab is a good place to start if you need help.

2.) Make sure you allow time to download the game and patches. Nothing like a 2 hour patch to kill that about-to-get-epic feeling.

3.) Some energy drinks and friends!

Ok now that your ready to roll I'll give you a brief look at the good, bad and ugly.

The Good, The story line in this game is unbelievably good. I'm not big on questing in MMO's but game changes it for the better. Graphics are amazing even on low settings and while the UI is totally different that World of Warcraft, Bioware was not afraid to keep the things that just worked well in WOW.

The BAD, So far the good news is that all of my early gripes are things that can easily be adjusted in future patches. The Auction House (AH) is horrendous. You really have to work to find what you want. There are several glitches(as to be expected) such as my companion fighting under a bridge while the action is on top of it...ect. No big deal as stated before fixes will come.

The Ugly. As with all new games the lag and frame rate (fps) is harsh. While this is expected, it is never welcome. Press CTRL+SHIFT+F to display the FPS in the bottom left corner of your game. The good news is once you get out of the starting area, it does get a little better.

I will post another blog with tips on setting up UI and graphics shortly.
