The Bounty Hunter class has aligned itself with the Sith in the Old Republic, although as mercenaries, they will always take their pay from the highest bidder. The base weapon of the Bounty hunter will always be his trusty blaster. He will star the game with one and he will upgrade it to different models as the game progresses. Because the Old Republic is not out yet, the information on the weapons that will be available is somewhat limited. Bioware will take some from the weapons from the soon to be defunct Star Wars Galaxies and the Knights of the Old Repuclic. The bounty hunter will use a variety of heavy and light weapons. They will not be the same as those available in Sony Online Entertainment’s game, but they will be similar. The Bounty Hunter, an advanced class, can specialize in two methods. He can go the mercenary route and use a variety of interesting and deadly weapons whose names Bioware has not yet released or he can go with the Powertech specialization. The Powertech specialization lets the bounty hunter take the slower, but often safer, route of using shields and power armor to relentlessly pursue his mark.
The Bounty hunter is a force to be reckoned with throughout the Star Wars universe. Boba Fett, a character who was not supposed to have a following, became one of the most popular characters from the original trilogy. Letting people play the Bounty Hunter role is part of any Star Wars experience. As more information for the game becomes available, there will be more information on specific weapons. The eventual guides can even tell a well-prepared player how to be a threat to the ever-troublesome Jedi Knights.
